The Art Splash on the Square American Splash National Competition is a Juried Art Competition and Show open to all professional artists. Accepted artwork includes 2- and 3- Dimensional Art, no photography. The show is held in the historic Old Post Office Museum and Art Center in downtown Graham, TX. Scott Myers is a native of Fort Worth Texas, currently living in Granbury, Texas. Myers received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Texas A&M University in 1984. Equine practice allowed Scott to study horse anatomy on a daily basis and to develop a feel and sensitivity for horses. Concentration on Western Americana, Scott's subject matter ranges from the contemporary cowboy to the Historical West as well as ranch children and their families.
Myers was elected as Member of the National Sculpture Society in 1994; he has exhibited his work in Tucson, Arizona and many Invitational Exhibitions in Texas.
Myers has been accepted in many National Juried Competitions of Fine Art in Texas, New York, Palazzo Mediceo, Seravezza, Lucca, Italy 1994, Larchmont, Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, Wisconsin, and Arkansas. His Museum collections include Pro Football Hall of Fame, Canton, Ohio, the Museo dei Bozetti, Pietrasanta, Italy, and Museum throughout Texas.
Myers has many distinguished awards and honors for his oil paintings and sculptures, many have been awarded in Texas, New York, Arizona, and New Mexico. Scott captures fleeting moments of beauty, whether it is a smile on a childís face, a beautiful thundercloud before sunset, or the first day on a working horse ranch. Many of his life-size sculptures are in private collections, museums, and ranches in Texas, California, Utah, Florida, and Colorado.
